What’s the catch?
The Nong Han Kumphawapi lake spans 36 square kilometres, largely in the Kumphawapi district but also in sections of the Prachaksinlapakhom and Ku Kaeo districts. This lake is regarded as one of Thailand’s most important wetlands since it offers fresh water for agriculture as well as for the consumption of those who live nearby. The lake contains beautiful pink water lilies that bloom every year from October to March. Mrs. Pawana Prajit, Director of the TAT Udon Thani Office, invites all tourists from across the world to come and enjoy Nature’s magnificent gift in Thailand. Those interested should go between 6 and 11 a.m. to witness the blooms in full bloom. Tourists can hire personal cruise boats to explore not only the water lilies but also the natural surroundings, which is home to a variety of birds, mammals, fish, and other aquatic life.

What else?
The following piers have rental boats available: In Prachaksinlapakhom and Ku Kaeo districts, the piers are in Ban Don Kong and Ban Khon Sai, respectively, and in Ban Diem, Chiang Wae, Ban Chaelae, and Ban Non Nam Yoi. In addition, Udon Thani is well-known for its archaeological wonders, which include the world’s first Bronze Age civilization, which lived in these areas 5000 years ago.
